What Surprise Songs Are Featured in The Eras Tour Movie (Taylor’s Version)?

Taylor Swift Eras Tour (Taylor's Version)

The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), not to be confused with The Eras Tour that premiered in theaters, is now finally streaming on Disney+. And the best news is, the concert film not only features “Cardigan” from folklore and “The Archer” from Lover, but a whole new batch of surprise songs. Surprise songs are one of the most exciting parts of Swift’s gorgeously celebratory tour and if you’re lucky to attend a show, then you know just how exciting it can be to get your favorites added onto the setlist.

During the film’s initial run, the surprise songs were “You’re On Your Own, Kid” from Midnights and “Our Song” from debut, marking what’s a riveting transformation from the singer she started as to the singer she is now. But in The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), we have “I Can See You,” “Death By a Thousand Cuts,” “You Are in Love,” and “Maroon” added to the mix as well. At the same time, while the surprise songs generally occur after the 1989 set and before Midnights, here, they’re all in one place toward the end.

We’re not ones to sit here and contemplate why Swift makes the decisions she does. Quite frankly, we wish we had that time on our hands, but we are here to note how much these songs mean to us and why it’s important that they are the chosen ones. But having these versions live is a gift we’ll take and cry about for hours on end.

But that’s not all: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) also ensures that “Cardigan” and “The Archer,” along with “Long Live” and “Wildest Dreams,” are all in their respective spots in the original setlist. While we adored the tour movie, it was a bit odd seeing the cut versions at the end of the entire thing, but this version allows it to flow more naturally, with the surprise songs being the best way to unwind after.
