The Fall Guy trailer is here, and it’s everything with some of the gnarliest footage in recent trailer history. The title cards giving us Emily mother-fu@king Blunt and Ryan mother-f*kding Gosling? Gosling’s character crying to Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well?” In what exceptionally niche perfect universe did we manifest this in? Because it feels like the best kind of fever dream I never want to wake up from.
The official synopsis, according to IMDB reads: Colt Seavers is a stuntman who left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health. He’s drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie, which is being directed by his ex, goes missing.
If Argylle movie proved anything, it’s that sometimes, all we need during a theatrical experience is a good time. A film doesn’t always have to leave us with a profoundly satisfying message where we question our existence and the meaning of life simultaneously. We don’t always need a semi-accurate recount of history full of award-winning performances. Sometimes, a movie can provide full-fledged bonkers entertainment, and that’s exactly what The Fall Guy trailer promises.
The film is stacked with a wildly incredible cast alongside Blunt and Gosling. The Hannah Waddingham — do we have to say more?!!! Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, Stephanie Hsu, Teresa Palmer, Lee Majors, and more — this cast is about to dominate in all the best ways, and if you aren’t psyched beyond words, then we just have one question: why do you hate joy? No, but seriously. It’s been a while since a trailer of something so hilariously wild was so gripping right, and it’s not just because we’re big Swifties. It’s because we love joy. That’s it. That’s the reason.
