It’s official Daisy Jones & The Six will take the stage and the world by storm early next year. In an exclusive with Vanity Fair, fans got a Daisy Jones & The Six first look as well as the news about the March 3rd release date.
For those who don’t know, the series is based on a novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and while we don’t always believe that a book needs to be read before viewing an adaptation, in this case, this is a story you won’t want to miss. There’s something so unbelievably immersive about the novel written entirely in interview form, resulting in an intimacy you almost feel wrong to be a part of. It’s as though it’s a private piece of someone else’s story that isn’t meant to be ours. Yet, it is, and we’re prepared to lose our minds even further because of the first look images.
The series will star Riley Keough as the titular character of Daisy Jones, and though she’s the granddaughter of Elvis Prestley, Keough hasn’t sung much before. However, she tells Vanity Fair that she felt that she was meant to play the character before even reading the book and knowing anything about it. One look at Keough, and we have proof that she is Daisy Jones. The lead character’s energy, heart, and stamina are reflected in these images, which surely means we’re in for a treat.
Further, in the Daisy Jones & The Six first look, we have glimpses of the entire band, like Sam Clafin as Billy Dune, Sebastian Chacon as Warren Rhodes, Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko, Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree, Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne, and Nabiyah Be as Simone Jackson.
In other words, we’re counting down the days and the hours until we watch it ourselves, then proceed to make it our entire personality. We’re already a quarter of the day there after today, anyway.
