Trying on Apple TV features an incredible cast starring Esther Smith and Rafe Spall while featuring the legendary Imelda Staunton. There’s a strength in their partnership that we don’t see as frequently on television, making the premise of the series much more fascinating. We aren’t getting the quips of difficulties splitting up a couple for the sake of TV drama; instead, we’re watching them take on every day like adults, choosing one another through everything even while challenges continue to cross their paths.
Wholesome Storytelling
Trying on Apple TV makes it clear that this story is for anyone who’s searching for a bit of comfort in dark times. It’s not trying to be dramatic even when heavy storylines are being tackled. It’s attempting to showcase what it truly means to have people in your corner rooting for you. The story wants to be warm and kind in its display of parenting, young love, and friendships.
