Gone are the days where Netflix released trailers a week before the production’s release date and we’re not even remotely mad about this change–still weeks to go until the release of its next big fantasy, the Shadow and Bone trailer is here and it’s explosive. It also comes with a few surprising twists like the fact that the pronunciation of kruge, Ketterdam money, isn’t as people thought it was in their heads. It’s the little things, it really is.
Shadow and Bone is based on Leigh Bardugo’s best selling trilogy featuring fan favorites from other duologies, which as we can in the trailer and from production stills–the crows are upon us.
Watch the trailer below. Gif every scene 20 times (or more), and remember, the best moments are yet to come.
What we would like to do is scream about how incredible this show actually is, but since we can’t do that yet, what we can say is that you’ll want to check back here soon because we’ve got a lot of content planned for Shadow and Bones. And we’ll leave you with a few things to ponder on:
- You are going to adore every single person in this cast–they each embody their respective characters so perfectly, it’s almost unbearably overwhelming.
- It’s about the symmetry.
- The world building and costumes are stunning.
- Since it’s so ridiculously evident in the trailer, yes Ben Barnes has unbeatable chemistry with everyone and everything, including his Kefta. (It’s kind of unfair.)
- Nothing, and we mean nothing can prepare you for how riveting the dynamics in this show are.
