Television series in 2013 not only met countless expectations but exceeded all of them. From outstanding new series to jaw dropping remarkable moments, what graced our televisions weekly this year was undoubtedly spectacular.
After 9 superlatively brilliant seasons, The Office aired its final episode on the 16th of May, and in order to honor it, this year’s categories are brought to you by some of the most quoted lines. Farewell, Dunder Mifflin, we are still in denial that there will never be new episodes; therefore, we’ll never stop watching reruns; 201 indescribably uproarious and inimitably motivational episodes simply aren’t enough.
For this first topic especially, it was extremely difficult to make these choices because it’s such a significant role. Nonetheless, we are satisfied and firmly believe these four characters have depicted heroism impeccably.
“Be strong. Trust yourself. Love yourself. Conquer your fears. Just go after what you want and act fast because life just isn’t that long.”
Heroes and Heroines
Killian Jones (Once Upon A Time)
There is something indescribably fantastic about a man fighting for love that makes him a hero. Taking his tragic backstory into consideration, Killian Jones was is a man who firmly believes in honor above all things and that in itself is truly a wonderful quality. This year viewers watched the noble navy lieutenant become a thief of the sea after his brother’s life was taken under the ruling of a dastardly king. Fundamentally, his hostile actions during his vengeful quest are not being condoned in any way, but he’s undoubtedly made beautiful progress on his road to redemption. Upon falling in love with Emma Swan he’s slowly become the hero he’s clearly always desired to be. His selfless gesture to welcome his sworn enemy aboard the only home he’s known for decades speaks wondrously on behalf of his earnest desire to become worthy of being with Emma Swan. Essentially, his graceful patience to deal with people who’ve hated him is also to be praised as he never once considered giving up on keeping everyone safe and full of hope. Colin O’Donoghue deserves countless awards for his portrayal as the man’s ability to speak with his facial expressions and body language is truly impeccable – he’s set the bar significantly high for future portrayals of Captain Hook.
Henry Mills (Once Upon A Time)
Henry has always been a wonderfully mature child for his age and he’s considered a hero in our book for his unwavering desire to be one. The kid’s choices this season have always been for others. He wholeheartedly believed in the fact that if he saved magic, he could save Neverland, Wendy, and all the lost boys; therefore, that screams heroism because at such a young age he truly cannot bare to see anyone live unhappily. Moreover, as he finally understands just how deeply Regina cares for him, he crystallizes hope for her as well when he tells her she’s not a villain. In this season especially he’s ceaselessly trying his absolute hardest to make sure everyone in his life is happy and it’s truly heartwarming. Furthermore, Jared Gilmore has done an incredibly wonderful job this season by exceeding all of our expectations through his fantastic portrayal.
Emma Swan (Once Upon A Time)
Emma Swan’s grace and stamina throughout the show’s running has been undeniably admirable, but she’s truly outdone herself this season. Neverland has forced her to come to terms with the truth she’s kept concealed for years in order to appear as a savior figure. By coming to terms with the unfortunate fact that she’s still a lost girl, she’s still managed to swallow up her own pain to selflessly find her son. She’s grown beautifully as a noble woman who’s accepted herself but never once for a moment stopped being selfless. She’s allowed herself to fall, cry, lose hope, get angry, and in the midst of all that she’s remained unselfish. Jennifer Morrison has brought such commendable passion to Emma Swan this season. Every single performance has been exquisitely moving and beyond question, she continuously impresses the audience through her excellent portrayal.
Regina Mills (Once Upon A Time)
Regina Mills has unquestionably been one of our favorite characters to watch this season because she’s grown magnificently honorable from her days as the Evil Queen. She’s time and time again proven that there’s absolutely nothing in the entire world that can stand in the way of her son’s happiness. Throughout their journey in Neverland she’s constantly specified that Henry’s all she has and that she’ll do whatever it takes to keep him safe. She’s fought ceaselessly to get him back, and the most beautiful part of her journey is how hard she’s tried to remain kind. By giving Emma Swan good memories of Henry undoubtedly turns her blackened heart much, much lighter. Not to mention, Lana Parrilla is undoubtedly deserving of endless applause for her stunning portrayal of both the Evil Queen and Regina Mills – there simply aren’t enough words.
“Bros before hos. Why? Because your bros are always there for you”
1. Jim Halpert and Dwight Schrute (The Office)
From putting staplers in jello and moving his desk to the annex, Jim Halpert ended up almost being the best man at Dwight’s wedding. This is one of the most beautifully cultivated bromances and throughout the years its been incredibly hysterical and heartwarming to watch.
2. Captain Hook and Prince Charming (Once Upon A Time)
The beloved Prince Charming could not stand the sight of the pirate who fancied his daughter, but after ceaseless displays of heroism, he’s begun to perceive Captain Hook as an honorable man, a “mate” and perhaps someday a son-in-law?
3. Harvey Specter and Mike Ross (Suits)
After disputes over loyalty Mike Ross substantiated that his allegiance always lies with Harvey Specter. They once again demonstrated what a remarkable team they make, and essentially they’re one of the most successful duos in television history.
4. Oliver Queen and John Diggle (Arrow)
Diggle’s displayed his steadfastness countless times this year, but one of the greatest moments was bringing Oliver back from the island. The two of them + Felicity not only form an excellent team, but Oliver cannot be the hero he wants to be without his best friends keeping him grounded.
5. Nolan Ross and Jack Porter (Revenge)
Now that Jack knows the truth about Emily, this bromance has become a particular favorite to watch because of the honesty it’s stemmed from. It’s an indescribable bond that’s certainly special since the two men have a rare and great understanding.
“You know what I need my girls with me … love you guys.“
1. Donna Paulsen and Rachel Zane (Suits)
The best part of the friendship these two have built is the fact that before things begun to change at Pearson Specter, they were the “life” both of them needed. As matters grew complicated during this season, they authenticated the notion that their friendship must be taken care of for it’s too valuable not to be continuously cherished.
2. Emily Fields, Aria Montgomery, Spencer Hastings, Hanna Marin (Pretty Little Liars)
With everything they’ve been through these four have continuously proven to have each other’s backs. This season especially has been insane for them, yet they’ve managed to keep their friendship stronger than ever for it ultimately comes down to them growing together in the midst of this madness.
3. Lily Aldrin and Robin Scherbatsky (How I Met Your Mother)
What we’ve always adored about this friendship is how uniquely legendary it is. Why of course we just used Barney’s noted term. Their scenes together have always been hysterical and heartfelt to watch; moreover, the girl talks have never ceased to have been great moments.
4. Skye and Gemma Simmons (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
The delightful element about this friendship is how different the two females are but how fantastically they get along. They both have extraordinary skills in their field of expertise and they bring lighthearted fun and sincerity into the show.
5. Regina Mills and Emma Swan (Once Upon A Time)
Although these two don’t exactly have friendship bracelets yet, it’s been incredibly inspiring to watch their relationship grow from absolute hatred to working as a team. They have such exquisite chemistry and maybe just maybe, someday they can actually be friends.
“OMG! Okay it’s happening!”
Expectations Becoming Reality
1. Best Prank Ever(The Office)
We cannot compile enough words to express the absolute joy our hearts were filled with when Michael Scott returned to Scranton. From the moment Jim tells Dwight he cannot be his ‘Bestisch Mensch’ and looks to the camera, happy screams were heard worldwide. Michael’s subtle smile turning into a sturdy smirk to appear professional had tears running down our faces. “Michael, I can’t believe you came.” “That’s what she said.” 1,000,000% convinced no acting took place in this moment. The genuine and heartfelt expressions on Steve Carrell’s, Rainn Wilson’s, and John Krasinski’s faces will live on as one of the greatest moments in television history. We cannot even begin to fathom how wonderful it felt for the entire cast and crew to have Steve Carrell back especially at such a glorious occasion and in a brilliantly exquisite way. This is by far the most legendary prank and comeback ever.
2. Dwight becoming Regional Manager (The Office)
There has never been and probably never will be a man who’s as passionate about paper as Dwight Schrute. Andy Bernard brought a lot of entertainment as manager, but Dwight brought irreplaceable heart. The most fantastic elements of his promotion were Jim Halpert’s recommendation and Dwight’s sincerely grateful acceptance. Not to mention, Jim taking on the job as Assistant to the Regional Manager as Dwight was for Michael. This was an unexplainably genius and fantastic parallel.
3. Captain Hook Finding Emma Swan 1 Year Later (Once Upon A Time)
There merely aren’t enough words in the English dictionary to describe the grandeur of this moment, for it mirrors Emma Swan’s madly in love parents and the very first time Henry found her. Captain Hook’s success alone in finding Emma Swan authenticates the indescribably gorgeous fact that they’re indeed like soul mates, for just as other true love couples on Once Upon A Time, their fate is being tested through barriers, i.e.: memory loss. Ultimately his enduring devotion to Emma Swan is certainly admirable for such an outstanding female deserves to be ceaselessly amazed.
4. Harvey’s Speech to Louis (Suits)
This is an incredibly underrated moment but for us, it was worthy of praise. The suave and debonair Harvey Specter is always pleasant to watch, but the sincere man behind the astonishing lawyer is even more brilliant. For three seasons now, we’ve understood the evident ramifications Harvey’s negligence has had on Louis, but in this little moment where his pride is put aside, he displays such nobility when he finally gives Louis some credit. “I respect you. You’re an excellent attorney, a valuable member of this firm.” Not to mention, the elusive smile Harvey wore when Louis asked if he was a friend. Gabriel Macht and Rick Hoffman have such exquisite chemistry and this scene surely foreshadows further greatness that’s to come.
5. The Mother (How I Met Your Mother)
Though the mother’s reveal wasn’t exactly how we’d imagined it, we still adore every aspect of the storyline. Cristin Milioti has done an exceptional job portraying the mother thus far; from her very first reveal to future scenes with Ted, her persona has been well established.
“There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things”
1. The Final Speeches (The Office)
These final speeches were so eloquently written they had us crying for hours afterwards. They’re incredibly inspirational but above that, it’s the perfect way to end such a raw and superlative show. Each of these quotes gracefully illuminate character growth and evoke a sense of peace in the heart’s of viewers.
Pam: It would just make my heart soar if someone out there saw this and she said to herself, be strong, trust yourself, love yourself. Conquer your fears. Just go after what you want and act fast because life just isn’t that long. – There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things.
Kevin: If there’s one thing that I’ve learned through this whole experience it’s that if you film anybody long enough. They’re going to do something stupid. It’s only human natural.
Dwight: Do I get along with my co-workers? First of all, I don’t have co-workers anymore. I have subordinates. So, have I gotten along with my subordinates. Let’s see. My supplier relations rep, Meredith Palmer, is the only person I know who knows how to properly headbang to Motorhead. Oscar Martinez, my accountant, is now godfather to my son. Angela Schrute, my former accountant is now my wife. My top Salesman Jim Halpert, was best man at my wedding. And office administrator Pamela Beesley Halpbert is my best friend. So yes. I’d say I have gotten along with my subordinates.
Andy: I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good ol’ days before you’ve actually left them.
Oscar: You take something ordinary, like a piece of paper, it’s not much, but if you see it the right way and that’s what you did with this documentary.
Jim: Imagine going back and watching a tape of your life. You could see yourself change and make mistakes and grow up. You could watch yourself fall in love, watch yourself become a husband, become a father. You guys gave that me. And that’s an amazing fit. … Even if I didn’t love every minute of it, everything I have, I owe to this job. This stupid, wonderful, boring, amazing job.
Erin: How did you do it? How did you capture what it was really like? How we felt and how we made each other laugh and how we got through the day? How did you do it?
Darrell: Everyday when I came into work all I wanted to do was leave. So why in the world does it feel so hard to leave right now?
Creed: It all seems so very arbitrary. No matter how you get there or where you end up, human beings have this miraculous gift to make that place home.
Meredith: I just feel lucky that I got a chance to share my crummy story with anyone out there.
Phyllis: I’m happy this was all filmed so I can remember everyone and what we did. I worked for a paper company all these years and I never wrote anything down.
Everything about these speeches had us drenched in tears. Every single one of these brilliantly written speeches can be applied to every day life. They can inspire in countless situations. The entire scene back at the office was so beautifully filmed that we genuinely don’t feel there are any words that could do it justice. Therefore, the only thing we can say is if you have watched it, then you know how superb and irreplaceable the show is, but if you haven’t, you should because simply being a viewer certainly feels like an extraordinary experience. There will never be another show that could be as brilliant. These speeches illuminate just how much man truly appreciates life when moments are taken to look back and understand. It promotes living victoriously and appreciatively for every one of our steps are vital – every moment in our lives are beautiful.
2. Memories (Castle)
Memories have a sublime way of reminding us of entities most valuable to our souls when they’re needed most – they have an exquisite way of both assisting us and torturing us. Castle and Beckett’s romance takes a turn for the worst when she is at risk of losing her life. The flashbacks of their wonderful romance and their last words to one another reiterate the depth of their love beautifully in a tears evoking scene. We’ve fallen in love with their corky romance and this scene ties it all together gracefully by reminding us viewers of their gorgeously significant heartfelt moments.
3. Regina, Emma, and Henry (Once Upon A Time)
When we were first introduced to these characters there was tons of bad blood in the air. However, when Henry declared Regina as his mother, too as opposed to a villain and when Regina granted Emma happy memories, there was not a dry eye in the room. The amount of hope left lingering in the air for ‘happily ever after’ sometime in the future was both amazing and heartbreaking.
4. Coming Back to Storybrooke (Once Upon A Time)
This simple yet extraordinary scene has made it into the books for the momentary happiness everyone felt was undoubtedly well deserved. From the beautiful Rumbelle reunion to The Charmings commending Regina, it was truly beyond words exceptional.
5. There Was No Choice To Make (Arrow)
Of all their gorgeously quirky moments together, non stick out more than “He was going to hurt you. There was no choice to be made.” Oliver’s intuitive need to change his ideals for Felicity brilliantly depicts how ardently the man cares for her even if it’s just as a friend. We cannot commend Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards enough for the subtlety undeniable pain their facial expressions and body language illustrated.
“Yeah, kiss her. Kiss her good.”
1. Captain Hook and Emma Swan (Once Upon A Time)
Who would’ve thought that in an alternate universe Captain Hook would be locking lips with Snow White and Prince Charming’s daughter? Of the countless first kisses that have been featured on television, this surely ranks as one of the greats. Emma Swan kissed the dazzling pirate as a result of “feeling good” and that mere fact speaks boldly loud for the girl whose actions have ceaselessly been for others. The most gorgeous part of their kiss however, was the brief instance they held onto one another after parting lips. Their inability to directly let go valorized a much stronger, magnetic-like force that’s been present amongst them for quite sometime now. The kiss was undeniably momentous in their bond as it exposed just how ardently the Captain has fallen in love, along with Emma attempting to comprehend why she’s so drawn to him.
2. Melissa Burke and Joe Longo (Melissa and Joey)
It only took 3 seasons for the anticipated kiss to happen, but hey, better late than never right? Plus, isn’t the noted saying “a drunken heart speaks a sober mind?” Therefore, is it safe to say that there are patent sparks and underlying feelings within these two for one another? That’s our take on it at least. As you all know by now, the kiss took place on vacation while Mel and Joey were pretending to be married, but more than that the kiss and night together uncovered just how meant to be the two of them are and we’re utterly thrilled to watch their story unfold now that so much has been revealed.
3. Mike Warren and Paige Arkin (Graceland)
The impulsive kiss that took place in Graceland’s season finale makes it onto our list as it was undoubtedly bound to happen. It happened at a moment of definite confusion yet it was clearly desired. The most admirable entity of this moment was Paige’s bold confession in stating she has in fact thought of Mike as more than a friend, but she’s taking a stand not to give in because she understands his perplexed nature. Moreover, the same can be said about Mike as viewers see moments with Paige in his memories right before Briggs’ phone call. Clearly their first kiss exposed a ton for these two and we’re excited to see where their relationship goes in season 2.
4. Ariel and Prince Eric (Once Upon A Time)
These two adorable beings make it onto our list because while their screen time is minimal, their reunion was absolutely heartwarming. Essentially, knowing Eric has waited all these years for Ariel despite how it seemed she’d rejected him is undeniably delectable. It is so very fairytale-like how quickly they fell in love.
5. Prince Francis II and Mary (Reign)
When words aren’t enough, kisses speak. Before Francis reveals he isn’t sure the decision he’s making is right and their love cannot do good he kisses Mary in hopes of parting ways; however, the inability to stop quickly was finely acted as it demonstrated that staying away from one another would be insanely difficult. It brought to life countless feelings, hope, and honesty.
“And you may cry if you like. That is encouraged.”
1-3. Robb Stark, Talisa Stark, Catelyn Stark (Game of Thrones)
It was utterly impossible not to compile these three tragic deaths together for it’s certain all viewers still cannot grasp what’s occurred. Robb Stark chose love over duty and the fate of his family ended up in tragedy. What can be worse than watching your pregnant wife be stabbed repeatedly on her stomach and unable to do anything? Robb Stark, Talisa Stark and Catelyn Stark, lose their lives and the fate of the Stark family rests on John Snow. The vulnerability in Catelyn Starks voice as she watches her son, daughter in law, and unborn grandchild fall to their death gives them the top vote for most tragic death. Richard Madden’s body language as he rests his hand on his wife’s stomach broke hearts and instantly evoked tears. Michelle Fairley beautifully holds everything together while being most vulnerable as she fights for her family’s safety and Oona Chaplin’s amazing performance depicts Talisa’s fearful shock effortlessly.
4. Tara Knowles (Sons of Anarchy)
Is there a soul out there that didn’t hope for a gruesome show like Sons of Anarchy to end happily? At some point, in our wildest imaginations, all we wanted was for Jax, Tara, and the kids to put the bad blood aside and live happily. Well, that went down the drain. The most petrifying part of Tara’s death was how brutally she was hit and simultaneously drowned while repeatedly being stabbed. Simply writing about it horrifies us. Tara’s character will be missed dearly.
5. Rumplestiltskin (Once Upon A Time)
For starters, we don’t believe he’s dead, in fact, if you’ve been keeping up with our recaps, we’ve always believed that “the boy being his undoing” meant the undoing of the dark one. Therefore, this is merely to discuss the death of the dark one and Robert Carlyle’s sensational performance in the scene. After everything his father has done to him, Rumple places a kiss on his cheek as he stabs the two of them. The amount of terror and heartbreak in his expression because he wanted to forgive his father as opposed to killing him broke hearts worldwide. Moreover, it exquisitely brought Rumple to life as a selfless man fighting to save the woman he loves, his son, and his newfound family.
“Why are you the way that you are? Every time I try to do something fun and exciting, you make it not that way. I hate so much of the person you choose to be?”
1. Joffrey Baratheon (Game of Thrones)
Move over Regina George for evil actually takes a human form in Joffrey Baratheon as he’s certainly the prime example of a maliciously gruesome being. The thrill and enthusiasm he receives from shooting his bow at innocent women for games demonstrates how absurdly perverse his mind really is. His underlying issues are undoubtedly incomparable. Furthermore, Jack Gleeson does a rather fine job of making his character an undeniably hated one as he excellently portrays the revolting King.
2. Gemma Teller (Sons of Anarchy)
There aren’t exactly words to describe the brutal turn Gemma Teller’s character has taken this season: the cruelty, the nerve, and Katy Sagal’s brilliant acting gives a few other “villains” a run for their money. While we’ve always known she was capable of doing unimaginably dreadful things, killing Tara was something we never expected from her. It’s insanely ghastly. After everything the Teller family has been through, it’s going to be undoubtedly gut wrenching to see how her story plays out next season, and at this point, redemption for her seems tremendously far, far, far, away.
3. Ezra Fitz (Pretty Little Liars)
After much thought, we are thoroughly pleased with the route Pretty Little Liars has taken this season in finally revealing Ezra Fitz as part of the A Team. Why? Because it tells such an outstanding twisted tale. A(s) are insane, absolutely out of their minds obsessed with making sure these girls and their loved ones suffer; therefore, it’s rather fitting that the one boyfriend who’s hardly ever gotten anything from A, be the one to call the shots. If he is in fact part of the A Team and this isn’t just another Toby scenario then Mr. Fitz, you win the sleaziest man award for holding darling Aria’s heart as close as you did only to cunningly destroy it later. The teacher/student relationship was wrong to begin with, but if he is in fact A, someone needs to lock him up for good. Ian Harding has done a fantastic job of giving the audience hints of Fitz’ sly character in the past, and we’re definitely looking forward to how he’ll heighten everything when the show resumes.
4. Peter Pan (Once Upon A Time)
The boy, aka Rumplestiltskin’s father who abandoned his child for eternal youth isn’t quite like the adorable cartoon figure we’ve grown to love. Once Upon A Time’s rendition of Peter Pan for starters walks around saying things like “she’s looking a bit fertile” whereas Disney Peter had no idea what a kiss even was – apologies for adding that in there, but it’s the most hilariously awkward thing anyone can say, especially to their child, dear lord –. Pan’s pursuit to save magic, and essentially save himself has left viewers with the certainty that he is indeed, the worst parent of all. Surely eternal youth seems like a wondrous concept, but to abandon your only son, attempt to kill your great-grandson, and countless other terrible things undoubtedly make him a terrifying villain. Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis did such an astounding job telling the story of how a selfish obsession to remain young forever could terrorize man’s life; moreover, Robbie Kay’s portrayal of the villain was truly outstanding.
5. Conrad Grayson (Revenge)
As we’re all aware Conrad is guilty for putting Amanda’s (Emily’s) father behind prison bars and eventually leading to his death. Moreover, after some time, he plants a bomb in his own office where Declan Porter tragically dies. What makes him such a villain is his lack of remorse in regards to everything he’s done. Just as viewers think he may be on the road to redemption, he proves them wrong by substantiating the notion that he craves power far too much to ever let it go. Henry Czerny has an incredible way of making viewers loathe Conrad Grayson just a little more than Victoria since his character continuously sucks the life out of everyone around him in order to fulfill his desires of staying on top.
“Okay everybody, stay calm.”
1. New Curse (Once Upon A Time)
Once Upon A Time wears the crown of honor for the countless twists and turns this season, but nothing was more heart pounding than the final moments before the curses struck. Grumpy’s “it’s here” line left viewers petrified with nuances of fear and restlessness as distressing goodbyes were about to be said. The sole notion of knowing the curse would undo everything that’s been done in the past is heartbreaking. However, at least we can hold on to the hope that Storybrooke isn’t destroyed forever and not everyone lost their memories.
2. Alison DiLaurentis is alive. (Pretty Little Liars)
Oooooh shocker – not – sort of. We’ve continuously stressed the fact that we failed to believe Alison was really dead; therefore, it’s pretty nice to finally get confirmation on the concept four years later. Now that viewers are aware of the daring female’s secret, the show’s plot is surely about to become greatly fascinating. What we’re looking forward to most with this plot is to hopefully get answers. Knowing Alison is alive will surely challenge the four girls in ways nothing thus far has, and we’ll hopefully soon find out whether or not it’s really her or a twin? We’re still not letting go of the fact that they could bring that story from the book.
3. Emily Thorne’s Wedding (Revenge)
While we’ve known about Emily’s plans for a quite sometime now, viewers didn’t actually expect for her to get hurt. Moreover, we’re sort of hoping the memory loss too is real for it’ll be nice to see just how people take care of her for once. Throughout the series Emily has been wandering around plotting revenge, and we’ve felt she’s never had the ability to focus on anything good. There are numerous possibilities that could come from this storyline and we’re definitely looking forward to what the writers will bring in 3b.
Odin – Briggs (Graceland)
Paul Briggs is that character whose story simultaneously breaks your heart and makes you angry. While his complex past fuels his hot-shot stamina, the notion of him being Odin was jaw dropping for us since no team member predicted it at all. We’re left wondering whether or not we should be angry with him or understand him; therefore, it’s at a nice 50/50 with us. Ultimately we just want answers. Why jeopardize your entire career and everything you’ve built to deal heroin? It’s appalling to think he believes he’ll never get caught in the situation.
Slade Wilson is alive. (Arrow)
Now that we’ve learned Slade Wilson is in fact alive, the drama surrounding Starling City is going to get crazy. We cannot even fathom the toll it’ll take on everyone, Oliver especially, when he learns the truth. While Oliver’s no saint, he’s without a doubt been trying his best to become a better man. Moreover, the fact that Slade blames Oliver for Shado’s death will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in bringing further guilt into Oliver’s life.
“It’s got action. It’s got heart. It’s got symbolism.”
1. Once Upon A Time
We cannot commend Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis + the entire cast enough for the impressively astounding story lines this season. The amount of phenomenal character growth that’s taken place can be discussed for hours on end. There merely isn’t a show that’s able to tie every intricate detail together as meticulously as Once Upon A Time; therefore, it holds the crown for number one in our books.
2. Game of Thrones
The story lines in Game of Thrones gets incredibly intense this season as the Stark family remains separated and decreases in size. Meanwhile, the mystery of the deadly creatures in the snow remains and will probably grow to be a huge issue throughout the land. We are left wondering when the Lannisters will pay for the war they have started. The ever-so fantastic plot continuously keeps us on edge.
Arrow writers have done a phenomenal job with the show this season. The amount of character development that’s taken place has been exceptional, not to mention, the mid-season finale alone set up the rest of the season’s arc outstandingly by officially depicting Flash and Speedy in their super-hero forms. The action has been on point, the complexity in characters has been superb, and the acting continues to be excellent.
Pierson Hardmen Specter law firm favorites style our televisions with their outstanding character elaboration, phenomenal stories, and brilliantly crafted dialect for another amazing season. What Suits has done remarkably this year is provide viewers with necessary backstory that’s helped us understand characters and past situations more in depth. Not to mention, the amount of chemistry amongst these characters is utterly incredible, literal perfection.
Revenge this season has picked up its pace, and one thing we’ve enjoyed is the return of the red x’s. Despite the fact that we’re still waiting for a few things – The Graysons exposure – we’re appreciating the conception that Emily’s secret is revealed to a few more people, for it quickens her endeavor and allows more characters room to grow from the affect the past two years have had on them.
“When I first discovered YouTube, I didn’t work for 5 days.”
1. Sleepy Hollow
There’s nothing quite like a legendary tale brought to life impeccably on television. Since the very first episode, Sleepy Hollow had viewers addicted to the sensationally crafted plot and brilliantly written characters. A man from the past learning about modern day? Excellently entertaining beyond words. A courageous and wise female lead? Simply perfect. A fantastic dynamic duo fighting alongside one another? Utterly amazing on so many levels.
Stunning undercover FBI/DEA/Customs agents ‘getting shit done’ while dealing with every day lives? Count us in. Graceland’s first season has had a wide range of character development, fantastic drama, and great action. Everything’s been perfectly paced and exquisitely crafted to the millisecond. There’s not a dull moment on the show for it literally contains both lighthearted fun and mind-blowing drama.
3. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
Marvel comics and films are sheer genius. We love what Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has done with characters especially. While it’s given viewers nice background on what occurs behind the noted agency, it’s brought to life six characters rather neatly by giving each of them complex personas and interesting interactions with one another. The storylines too are great, but what we’re most fond of truly is the lives of these characters and where they’re headed.
A few historical inaccuracies aside, if you adore a painfully amazing love story this is undoubtedly the show to watch. Reign follows Queen Mary of Scotland in her endeavors while beautifully depicting her love affairs. The stunning scenery, breathtaking costumes, and wonderful acting will surely give you a nice taste of life in the 16th century.
5. Once Upon A Time in Wonderland
Once Upon A Time in Wonderland marvelously brings Alice to life as her older self embarks on the journey to rescue the love that’s been taken from her. Our favorite part of the show is the exceptionally striking story lines between Cyrus and Alice along with Will and Anastasia. Not to mention the perfect portrayal of Jafar done by Naveen Andrews.
“There is no greater feeling than when two people who are perfect for each other overcome all obstacles, and find true love.”
Couples That Should Be
1. Captain Hook and Emma Swan (Once Upon A Time)
The most immaculate kind of love is passionate, sincere, appreciative, fearless, challenging, vigorous, altruistic, and ultimately unconditional. Captain Hook and Emma Swan’s bond is fortified with the utmost respect and loyalty – there aren’t two people who are as graciously kindred as the pirate and the lost girl. Through countless parallels, their story gorgeously mirrors Prince Charming and Snow White’s while substantiating that Emma Swan, the product of true love, will undoubtedly have her own exquisitely wondrous, fairytale-like love story. As her father once said, “true love isn’t easy, but it must be fought for because once you find it, it can never be replaced.” Killian Jones ceaselessly authenticates that he’s wholeheartedly in it for the long haul and despite the hindrances in their path, he’ll not only fight for her happiness, but he’ll go above and beyond to make sure Emma Swan feels as adored as he evidently feels blessed to love her. Ultimately, they’ve effortlessly brought out the best in one another, awakened inner strength, and evoked hope; therefore, there’s no need for verbal confirmation to validate that throughout their journey it’s as though the other’s presence has become home. If that’s not a timeless love story then we don’t know what is.
2. Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak (Arrow)
While this meant to be relationship isn’t how the story plays out in the comics, Oliver Queen and Feliciy Smoak sincerely make an amazing duo. Their bond has grown beautifully this season as Felicity’s constantly been at Oliver’s side in times of need and vice versa. Without a second thought, Oliver killed for her safety. Moreover, his jealousy upon Barry Allen’s arrival sings a very loud song of a budding romance. There’s undoubtedly an exquisitely brilliant bond waiting to be explored further with Oliver and Felicity. It’s hysterical and breathtaking to watch their interactions. 3. Harvey Specter and Donna Paulsen (Suits)
3 years of continuous wonder is all viewers are given in regards to these two insanely stubborn people. Their relationship is stemmed from such a rare and unwavering loyalty. It’s simply mind-blowing how they cannot realize how beautiful they’d be together. Ultimately such an understanding between two people is exceedingly scarce and what we’ve learned is that no one’s stayed by Harvey’s side as Donna has. Moreover, they both deserve a faithfully loving partner, and it’s about time they realize how effortlessly they fit together as two puzzle pieces do. Individually, they’re remarkably quirky but together, they’re powerful beyond words.
4. Joe Longo and Melissa Burke (Melissa & Joey)
For the love of all things beautiful these two need to get together. It’s been how many seasons already? The sexual tension present since the moment they met has burned rooms – even the neighbors pets probably know they should be together. Jokes aside, ultimately they function so well as a duo, and they’ve both truly done a fantastic job of being parental figures. They’re without a doubt two of the most amusing people to watch interact, and not to mention how splendidly they compliment one another. Opposites attract right?
Mike Warren and Paige Arkin (Graceland)
A boldly evident mutual attraction was present amongst these two the very first moment they laid eyes on one another. From then on they found a place of comfort within each other along with the occasional flirting. What was spectacular to watch about this bond that’s formed is the distinct understanding they’ve built. Both characters are crazy similar on so many levels, yet intrepidly different, and that allows these two vibrant souls to be a part of such a wondrous relationship. Paige’s lively and steadfast spirit compliments Mike’s down-to-earth one remarkably. There’s something indescribably earnest in their bond that’s fantastic to watch.

Questions We’re Still Asking
1. What do Harvey and Donna do with the can opener? (Suits)
This is a burning question we’ve had since the moment the rituals existence was revealed. Truthfully, world. We need to know. We recently found out when they came up with it, but what they actually do is still a mystery. Heck, maybe we’ll never even know, but it’s surely the one thing we’d be most happy to learn. It’s number one for a reason.
2. How many A Teams are there? Who is Big A? (Pretty Little Liars)
There’s an enormous part of us that’s still not convinced Ezra is A. He may be twisted on some levels but unfortunately we still have our doubts. Ultimately, we want to know who Mona fears. It doesn’t seem likely that she’d fear Ezra and though that’d tell an interesting story, it still seems a bit off. Not to mention, the countless other people that have been suspicious ie: Wren, Melissa, Wilden. What team were they working for? How many teams are there? If there’s any show that can drive us insane, it’s undoubtedly Pretty Little Liars. It’s simply too much to think about.
Who’s going to rule the kingdoms? (Game of Thrones)
At the end of season 3, we are left with the image of a huge army following the mother of dragons. She is the rightful ruler of the land, but it will take much more than the title to rule as everyone is fighting for their spot on the throne. There will surely be conflict between her and the Lannisters but it’s clear she will rule.
4. Who does Emily really love? (Revenge)
The entity with Emily’s situation is that at times we’re convinced she may be over Jack and genuinely in love with Aiden whereas others we’re certain it’s actually Jack. Essentially, we’re waiting for her to finally speak the most sincere words that have been in her heart all along. We’re waiting for her happy ending.
5. How long until Mike’s secret is revealed? (Suits)
At the end of the Season 3 finale, Louis came to the find that Mike’s file wasn’t at Harvard and while it certainly seems like his secret may not be revealed this soon, we’re wondering when. How long could he keep the lie going until it comes to bite him terribly?
